Using your gifts and abilities to serve is essential for Lighthouse to be a collective body. 1 Corinthians 12:4-6 states that “there are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in all men.” Likewise, we give glory to God when we employ the many different gifts that He’s blessed us with.

Consider helping in one of the following areas:

Greeting
The greeting team meets at 6:45 on Sunday evenings to welcome visitors and regular attendees to Lighthouse. As some of the first faces that people see, this team has the opportunity to begin creating the atmosphere of welcome that we strive for.

Setup/Teardown
Those involved with the interior design/ethos of the Lighthouse room have the opportunity to create an atmosphere that aesthetically aids in the worship of God. These people gather before Lighthouse to set up the room, and are responsible for tearing it down afterwards.

Activities
This committee plans and organizes all of the activities in the Lighthouse ministry. From large-scale community outreach events to post-Lighthouse activities, they are central to our community building.

Cafe
Lighthouse runs a café after the service on a regular basis. The crew makes specialty coffee drinks, hands them out, and helps with clean up afterward. Being on the café team allows for the opportunity to meet many new faces and serve God by serving others.

Lights/Sound/Tech
Though Lighthouse seems to often run seamlessly, it takes a lot of volunteers working behind the scenes to help it go as smoothly as it does. We’re always looking for more people to help with light design and operation, audio/visuals, and powerpoint.

Design/Web/Print
This team is involved with graphic design, website design/maintenance, and writing content for our media ventures. In doing so, they are able to create an innovative way of outreach to our local and global community.

Originals (Music/Film/Art/Writing)
These people contribute regularly to the arts at Lighthouse. Writers are asked to compose two blog posts per month and attend quarterly meetings. We are also looking for artists to add dimension to our services with short films, artwork, and their musical gifts.
