Our God has a history
Of power, strength, and might
Our God is always listening
To the broken and contrite
Our God is such a mystery
He made and saved us by His Word
Our God has never seen defeat
He will never be deterred

He used Gideon’s army to bring peace to us all
Used trumpets and yelling to make Jericho fall
But a story that needs to be told time and again
Is about the power He holds over sin and death

Unlike Samson, when he died
And killed so many more
Than he did when he was alive
When Jesus was crucified
He saved us all in His death
Which couldn’t hold Him He reigns on high
